Lamp Ballast (Tridonic) for Gx25

The Colortrac Gx25 lamp ballast provides the high voltage needed for the fluorescent lamps.

If the lamps are not lighting up:

1. Check the lamps. Do they have light at the ends? Do they look burned at the ends? Then, you probably need new lamps. Go to: 28CT50E170A: GX25 Fluorescent Lamp
2. Check the ballast connections. Sometimes the wires are not making good contact. Reconnect the wires and make sure that they are secure.
3. Check the voltages going to and from the ballast. If the voltages coming into the ballast are okay. Replace the ballast.

WARNING: THE BALLAST GENERATES HIGH VOLTAGES THAT CAN KILL. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WORK ON THE SCANNER WHILE IT IS PLUGGED INTO A POWER SOURCE!

Note that some Gx25 scanners were fitted with a ballast made by OSRAM. You CANNOT substitute this ballast for the OSRAM ballast. We do not have the OSRAM ballast.
